Taiwan Adventure

WEEK 6 GENERAL AUTHORITIES Mon, Jul 2, 9:12 AM This was another awesome week! Monday we had Skype TRC, so we Skyped a sister from Taiwan, and taught her a lesson. It was pretty cool, even though it was a little hard to understand her.  Then Tuesday, me and my companion studied outside of T3 to try and see some apostles. We saw a car waiting, so we knew someone was going to come out. So we waited a bit and then President Nelson came out with Elder Uchdorf! He walked right by us, and stopped and said it was a beautiful day, and then kept on walking. He was probably 10 feet from us. Then Elder Uchdorf came back and talked with us and shook our hands! It was sooooo cool!! Then we just kept waiting for more apostles. We saw President Oaks, but he just kept walking. Then after a bit, Elder Nattress came out! So I got up and talked to him and Sister Nattress. We got a picture and everything, it was super cool to see them! Then after that we had were going to lunch...

Whole Quorum of the 12!! Jun 25, 2018, 1:53 PM This week was probably the best week of my life!! It was awesome!!! Tuesday, we had Sister Eubank form the Relief Society speak at our devotional. It was a very cool talk about Moses.  Then Wednesday, I had a couple friends coming in and Jayden, my cousin. So I was super excited to see some familiar faces. I saw my friends that day so that was super fun to talk with them for a bit. Then Thursday, I was saw Jayden after dinner and talked with him for a bit! It was super fun to talk with him!  Friday wasn't super exciting I don't think  Then Saturday and Sunday happened. Saturday, I get a letter saying that we will be able to meet our mission president later that day. And the elders and sister in my district are the only missionaries going to Taichung that are in the MTC right now, so I knew there would just be like 6 of us! One month mark!! Jun 18, 2018, 1:13 PM This was another great week at the MTC... except for the food... at this point I think my diet is composed of 75% cereal, 10% donuts, and 15% random food that is not very good haha. But that's ok, I will survive Tuesday, we had devotional as usual. And someone awesome came and spoke!! Guess who... my hint will be people from Fruitland have one guess, everyone else has as many as they want haha. I’ll tell you the answer at the bottom haha  Then Wednesday we got new missionaries at the MTC as usual. It is getting quite full now. Thurs was just a normal day of classes. I sent in my Chinese name to the mission so that can make a name tag. My Chinese name is Fan (4th tone for anyone who wants to know) Zhang Lao. (Zhang Lao is Elder)  Friday was Christmas for the elders above us as they got their travel plans. So we sang them Christmas songs, I'll send the video next week if I don't forget. Week 3 - We won't be the youngest district anymore! Mon, Jun 4, 1:28 PM Hmm this week has been fun. I just don't remember what happened haha. Wednesday -  Friday were long days with 6 hours of class as usual. Then Friday night, we watched the  Be One devotional which was so awesome!! It was so fun to watch. It was so different from  the normal devotionals with the clapping and stuff. At one point missionaries tried to stand  and clap with the music, but president Martino was having none of that haha. But yeah that  devotional was so cool! Then yesterday we had a devotional by Sheri Dew. She was a super good speaker, and her  devotional was about how we all have a Divine Orbit, and we are all where we are for a  reason. It was super good.  Also, we get new missionaries Wednesday for mandarin speakers! we get two new districts,  and double the elders in our zone. MTC Wed, May 16, 2018  12:58 PM Just got to the MTC! I hope I got your emails right. I'm pretty sure I did moms and grandmas, not sure about dads. I got an iPad and a key card and stuff then I dropped all my stuff off in my room and then went straight to a class. They were only speaking Mandarin so that was interesting. Then they took me to the computer. So so far they have just been speaking Mandarin at me, which is not that helpful haha. They started teaching us Mandarin right away. We have two three hour classes a day usually, which is a lot by the end of the day.
